Niles

Greetings! My names is Niles, like Frasier’s brother from the famous TV show. I will also respond to “Niley.” I am a grey tabby cat with green eyes. I am a young cat who recently turned one year old (which is a teenager in human years). I love playing fetch, getting scratched on my head and back, and hearing encouraging and soothing words from others. I have a loud purr and a soft meow that sometimes comes out silent.

I was born around Camp Lejeune in Eastern North Carolina. I was taken in by a nice lady who fostered me for the first few months of my life. Sarah found me after searching for months for a special cat with the right temperament for therapy. When I went home, I was scared at first because I had lived with one family for my whole life. I was shy for the first few weeks but quickly learned to bond with Sarah. I love obedience training (dogs aren’t the only ones who can learn), playing with my toys at home, and cuddling with humans. I love being around people, even if they aren’t interacting with me, and I will follow them to be in the same room. Sometimes Sarah even calls me her shadow.

I hope to support the people I meet in session by doing fun activities or even by just being there if someone needs support. I am excited to be a part of Animal Assisted Therapy of the Triangle and am looking forward to meeting you!
