Lorin Coakley, M.Ed., NCC, LPC is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina. She has completed post graduate work in Substance Abuse Counseling and is currently working toward her certification in Animal-Assisted Therapy along with her co-therapist, Archer.
Lorin has a diverse background working in settings including addiction, education, religious, and service to the armed forces military and their families. Lorin believes people are capable of reaching their best potential given the right support and tools for change. She is known for her warm, relaxed, and comfortable approach to counseling. Lorin is an Integrative therapist, utilizing a variety of orientations and therapies best suited to the client’s individual needs. She creates an environment that embraces genuine caring, acceptance, and non-judgment.
Lorin received her Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York at Brockport in Health, Physical Education and Athletic Training.
